Venus Williams is back on tour — she’s currently competing in the Top Seed Open — but she just shared a new episode of her #CoachVenus Instagram Live workouts with special guest Ashley Graham. Williams said the workout will be focused on your upper body, glutes, and thighs, and it takes under 30 minutes total. There are many aspects of this workout that might appeal to you — like the fact that you don’t need any weights and it’s entirely done standing. Williams walks Graham through arm raises and a series of different pulses to work the back, shoulders, biceps, and triceps. For the lower body, you’ll do moves such as standing kickbacks, hydrant variations, and forward kicks.
“Today I had no idea really what I was going to do. I was in the gym this morning, and . . . I started playing around a little bit and these are the exercises that came out of it,” Williams told the model. She added that she has a physiotherapist who helps her in the gym as well. “If I’m not working out, I’m going to get hurt,” Williams said. She noted that, for her, exercise isn’t just about looking great; she works out because she could get a serious injury playing tennis if she doesn’t.
